My Laptop Speakers Are Not Loud Enough

Thanks for answering my previous question. I now have my set up as follows: 2 RCA to 1/4 inch female adapters coming out of my DDJ-SB, each one is connected to a 1/4 inch to speakon cable that runs straight into my powered speakers. The problem I have is the sound is extremely low even tho I have it turned up on my laptop and on the controller. Use the Microsoft Fix it Tool. Microsoft provides a Fix it tool which can solve many problems.

Make Volume Louder On Laptop

To correct the low audio volume in your X220 speakers, open the 'Sound' control panel (START > CONTROL PANEL > HARDWARE AND SOUNDS > SOUND). Once open, click on the 'Speakers' device, then click the 'Properties' button.

Speakers On Laptop Not Loud

In the Properties window, click the 'Enhancements' tab, then check the box for 'Loudness Equalization'.

Click the 'Apply' button, then 'OK'. Close the Sound control panel.

NOTE: 'Bass Boost' will reduce some of the 'tinny' sound associated with these speakers at the expense of some volume level. Feel free to experiment with enhancement settings until you find a combination you like.
