Masteries are special badges that can be unlocked through certain actions in Slayer Edition. Most, but not all, masteries start at Bronze-tier once unlocked and need to be leveled up through Silver-tier and finally to Gold-tier. The lists below show the fully upgraded Gold-tier masteries. Players now earn gold upon completing as mastery of any tier. Earning a Gold-tier mastery will also reward the player with an identical achievement.
Unfortunately, there isn't. Unless you're playing Endless, which in that case you can purchase skull coins at the beginning of the level should they have them for sale. Also, I believe if you have bought the Necromancer, one of her potion abilities has the ability to revive dead heroes. Gauntlet: Slayer Edition streamlines the combat and adds a bit more replay value to last year's release, but there still isn't quite enough meat on this dungeon crawler's bones.

Notes
- Slayer is a Mastery that offers rewards for various numbers of monsters killed.
- Skeleton Soldiers were formerly (prior to Slayer Edition) known as 'Bandit Skeletons'.
- Skeleton Warriors were enemies that have been essentially transformed into what are now known as Skeleton Defenders. Skeleton Warriors had a slightly different attack set and appearance but were largely similar to what Skeleton Defenders are now in many ways, including their use of a sword and shield, as well as spawning in the same locations in the game.
- Skeletal Archers were enemies that have now been removed. Their removal was presumably for the purpose of making them the summons of Necromancer's weapon, Necrotic Vessel, as they are extremely similar.
